Cult Argentine Toy 'Guerreros del Manana' Animated Series & Action Figures | Official Teaser (2025)

Remember those epic childhoods filled with action figures? Well, get ready for a blast from the past! The beloved Argentine toy line, 'Guerreros del Manana' (Warriors of Tomorrow), is making a triumphant return, and this time, it's going animated! Black Mandala, a sales company based in New Zealand, has snagged the rights to develop an animated series and a fresh line of action figures based on this iconic franchise that first hit shelves in the 1980s.

This exciting deal was finalized during Ventana Sur, with the original toy line's creator, Guillermo Zanocco, and filmmaker Nicolás Onetti, who will be directing the upcoming animated series.

Imagine this: these locally produced Argentine superhero toys, which debuted around the same time as Mattel's 'He-Man' figures, have become highly sought-after collector's items internationally over the past four decades. That's right, these toys are not just nostalgic; they're valuable!

Black Mandala is set to unveil the official series teaser and the first collectible sculpture at Argentina Comic-Con in Buenos Aires on December 5th.

The animation project boasts an impressive creative team. Aníbal Morales will be the animation director, Luciano Onetti is composing the score, and Germán Suracce is handling sound design. Artist Martín Cardozo will be responsible for creating the new line of collectible sculptures. And to top it off, veteran voice actor Ricardo Alanis, known for his Spanish-language dubbing work in films featuring Chuck Norris and Jean-Claude Van Damme, as well as 'Power Rangers,' will be providing the voice-over for the teaser.

Black Mandala, founded in 2017 by Michael Kraetzer and Onetti, operates from Auckland and has built a catalog of over 150 titles focused on independent horror and genre cinema, maintaining a strong presence in major film markets worldwide. Their recent projects include "Nightfall – A Paranormal Investigation," "Beyond the Drumlins," "The Blade Cuts Deeper," and the horror anthology "The Last Supper."

But here's where it gets interesting... What do you think about the resurgence of these classic toy lines? Are you excited about the animated series? And do you think these collectibles will become even more valuable? Share your thoughts in the comments below!
